These are the facts as we know them from sources various and sundry in fact you’ve probably seen most of this elsewhere but I want to have this post as a handy reference guide.
1: Fox is looking at ALL the numbers. They are looking at Nielsens, DVR, Live Plus DVR, HULU, and Fox Online. They also pay attention to sales on ITunes and Amazon. As far as I know Fox is not going to make any kind of decision on a S3 22 or 13 Episode renewal until the DVR numbers come in for Born to Run.
2: Fox has announced that there will be no official announcement until May and yes I know that’s a long time but it’s about to get even longer.
3: Fox will be announcing its Fall Schedule on May the 18th according to the folks at Aint It Cool News.
4: Born to Run ended the Season with a mind melter. There are a whole plethora of questions that need to be answered. At the very least a Seasons worth.
What can you do to help?
Contact Fox and the WB, let them know that YOU watch. Let them know how many people watch in your family. Let them know if you DVR, Itunes, or Amazon…or Live without a Neilsen Box.
Make SURE that they know that you need the show to stay.
There’s more right below here.

Never forget there’s no fate but what we make. The fight for our tomorrow begins today!

Excellent article. I really hope that Fox will announce season 3 in may, and even if they don’t, I hope that Warner Bros.’ contract with them lets them negotiate a deal with another network in time for the fall season. I’m fairly confident that we’ll be able to stay with Fox though, and I am even more confident we’ll get renewed. Born to Run was the best episode I’ve seen since Samson and Delilah, even though it pissed me off so much… But it pissed me off in the right way, in that it made me want answers and resolution that only another season can provide! I honestly can’t think of a better way they could have ended season 2. If I have to get on my knees and beg Fox for a third season, I will do it, as long as I get to see where we go from here.
Thats the spirit! Hang in there Baby!
I’m seriously wanting a Season 3 to explore those new questions posed.
I’ll be doing what I can. Lets all do our part. And keep the hope alive!
I’m staying positive for Season 3, despite all of the press speculation of cancellation. {I guess that means I’m in denial!}
Join the club then…a whole lot of us can be in denial together.
