Hey All!

Looks like the massive cone of silence around Terminator: Genisys is about to be terminated. Entertainment Weekly (EW) magazine is breaking a first look at the film in their new issue that hits shelves on Friday. It comes with two collectors edition covers, the first featuring Emelia Clarke (Sarah Connor) and Jai Courtney (Kyle Reese).

The article will of course have plenty more to say and arguably more pictures but some information was released about the story, and about the kind of Sarah Connor we can expect: See this and more after the break (since the information contains mild spoilers).

Hey folks,

Terminator (2015) is getting ready to go before cameras starting in January this of course means that potential actors/actresses are going to be screen tested separately and together for some familiar characters.

And who exactly are these characters?

John Connor, Sarah Connor and Kyle Reese!

Now we’ve known for quite a while now that Terminator is a reboot so the actors and actresses that I’m going to share with you shouldn’t be too much of a shock age wise. You see they’re casting Sarah Connor at around 20 which is pretty similar to her age in The Terminator.

So let’s look at our possible Sarah Connor’s shall we.

Ordinarily I wouldn’t write a update about a film changing it’s release date however the summer of 2015 is going to be

absolutely filled to capacity with blockbusters. Not long ago the first film to move out of 2015 to the Summer of 2016 was the 5th Pirates of the Caribbean film Dead Men Tell No Tales.

Now Terminator 5 has dropped from it’s late June release date and will be hitting theaters on July 1 2015!

Which means it’s a very nice early birthday present so thank you Paramount for moving it back. Other than that it also means that it’ll be hitting on the July 4th “weekend” so if all goes well we’ll be looking at not only a well made, entertaining, exciting and smart start to a reboot trilogy but we’ll also be looking at some awesome box office numbers!

Terminator 5 will feature the return of Arnold Schwarzenegger and will be directed by Alan Taylor (Thor: The Dark World, Game of Thrones)!

Once again the film has shifted back to a July 1 debut so you know where I’ll be on July 1 of 2015.

Hey folks,

Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Terminator in T2

Over the past two days there has been a influx of Terminator 5 information hitting the internet.

Just the other day it was revealed that Annapurna Pictures and Skydance Films were in talks with Paramount Pictures to distribute the finished film in theaters. Some are reporting this as a done deal and others are saying that it’s as good as done. I don’t doubt that at all with the news that I just found today.

In the source linked below there are more details but I’ll just highlight the biggest ones here and go check out TAF’s for the rest!

  1. Filming on T5 will begin early next year, perhaps as early as January by the look of things.
  2. Arnold expects to get the finished T5 script in a couple of weeks.

Also found via the link above is a story from the WWE Examiner, and since it’s possibly got spoilers…I’ll discuss that after the break.

The makers of CUBE are back with the first chapter of the second slice of their Other-Life Series entitled Hatch 18. The have chosen to release their second Half-Life 2: Episode 2 mod in a chapter by chapter basis. You can download chapter one and track the further development of the mod here:Hatch 18 on Moddb

I’ve sat down and recorded a Let’s Play of Chapter One which as far as I know goes through to the end, if not I’ve still got some discovering to do!

Give it a test run before Black Mesa hits on the 14th!

Alright so it’s quite likely that m last post was also Black Mesa related I’m so excited right now that I didn’t even bother to check. During my previous post on Black Mesa I pretty much stated that I thought a release of Black Mesa would happen pretty soon- it so happens that I was right- this doesn’t make me a prophet.

The Development Team of Black Mesa have always stated that the soundtrack by Joel Nielsen would be released first- then the site would undergo redesigns and finally the HUGE game itself would be released. Well right now I would like to direct ou to the following page- Black Mesa Soundtrack HERE!

Now if you don’t have money as is the case for me at the moment unfortunately you can still download the entire soundtrack for free- however I encourage you to if possible select an amount to pay Joel Nielsen for his compositions are EXCELLENT.

Of course that also means that the official website is being redesigned- the boards have already received their makeover and soon you’ll be playing through Black Mesa all over again.

September 14 is Black Mesa Day!

Of special note is that the release will be without XEN- why is that? I’ll let this quote from the lead level designer Daniel “Raminator” Junek explain that:

Development on xen is already underway and we hope to have it finished up in a reasonable timeframe. Xen is going to basically be a complete game in its own right, it’s not going to be just an epilogue to the game; more of a whole new chapter. It’ll be pretty well expanded.

That’s right folks Xen is basically being expanded into a much larger chapter- practically a game in and of itself!

I’m so excited!

Time to listen to that soundtrack.

I shot and edited this footage of the 4th of July Fireworks in Redlands California taken last night. My apologies for the sound of my digital camera’s shutter going off but I was also shooting stills of the display.

Happy 4th to my American friends! (especially those who put up with a Brit hanging out with them last night Redlands FAF and friends that means you ;))

Happy 5th to myself…35 years young!

Thanks for visiting!

That’s right…it’s time to accept that mission and join Ethan Hunt and the IMF team as they try and clear their names in Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol!

M:I Ghost Protocol is the live action directing debut of Brad Bird (The Incredibles) and judging by this awesome teaser trailer he’s brought the awesome to the table of another of my fave franchises.  I’ve enjoyed each take on the Impossible franchise thus far, the espionage of the original by Brian De Palma, all out action of number 2 from John Woo, the fine melding of both by J.J. Abrams in part 3.

Looking forward to Ghost Protocol!
